Founded in 2008, Sourcetoad is a software consultancy focused on helping service-based organizations unlock 10x efficiency without adding headcount. We design and build AI-powered automation, self-service platforms, and custom digital tools that allow teams to scale, reduce friction, and deliver more value with the people they already have.
Our work is grounded in real operational problems, not hype. We partner closely with our clients to co-create systems that are durable, understandable, and actually used. The result is technology that strengthens businesses rather than complicating them.

Our Story
Sourcetoad was founded in 2008 by three friends from the University of South Florida: Greg Ross-Munro, Nick DeMelas, and Justin Weber. Each brought experience from different corners of the technology and business world, from biotech and finance to legal technology and security.
The early growth of Sourcetoad coincided with a major shift in software. The rise of mobile computing and custom web applications created demand for tailored solutions that off-the-shelf tools could not meet. Sourcetoad quickly established itself as a trusted partner for organizations operating in complex, regulated environments.
Over time, the company deepened its work in healthcare, education, financial services, hospitality, and professional services. Along the way, Sourcetoad achieved SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA compliance and expanded its capabilities across design, engineering, infrastructure, and security.
As our client base evolved, so did our focus. We increasingly found ourselves helping service businesses transform how they operate by turning expertise into systems, reducing reliance on manual effort, and creating platforms that scale. That work now defines Sourcetoad.
A major milestone in our journey was joining the Thompson Holdings family of companies. This step grew out of a long-standing partnership and a shared belief in building durable, people-first organizations. Through this relationship, Sourcetoad became part of an ESOP, allowing our team members to become employee-owners. This structure reinforces our commitment to long-term thinking, shared responsibility, and growing together under strong, values-driven leadership.
Today, Sourcetoad is focused on helping service organizations productize their offerings, unlock efficiency through automation and AI, and compete at a higher level without burning out their teams. Technology is changing again, and we are building carefully so our clients are ready for what comes next.
